Felt is in fact a derivative of wool obtained by the process of felting. Felting is possible thanks to the special scaled structure of wool. In the textile industry this process is called fulling. Fulled fabrics are much stronger than unfulled ones and are also more resistant to wear. The felt used by Extremis is furthermore impregnated to reduce water absorption. We recommend specialised cleaning.
