How to use Sticks

What is Sticks?
Sticks is a space divider for indoor and outdoor spaces, such as living rooms, gardens, restaurants, offices, terraces, museums, ... In short for anywhere you want to create a more private place. Sticks inspires you to divide your room optically, without losing the feeling of spaciousness.

Because of the obvious proportions of the Sticks, you can combine as many as you want, and arrange them how you want. You mark out a certain place, but you still keep the suggestion of being there. The Sticks allow you to see through, but you cannot really notice something clearly.
Wooden rods give a more natural effect because they bend a bit more than the glass-fibre rods that are always firm and straight. |

Situation
A couple moves into their new apartment. Both are working very hard, and almost every evening on of them comes home late, while the other one is still at work. Obviously they want to be together to talk about what happened that day.
As they have a quite big living room and because they do not want to have a separate office in the house, they work in the living room. And when not working, they do not want to look at the desktop, and be confronted with work.
In order to get the right result they use Sticks space dividers to make a division between the working part of the living room, and the relaxing part of the living room. When one is watching television, and the other is still at work, they can talk a little bit, and still have the feeling of being together. When they have visitors, or a cozy dinner they do not have the working space in front of them, but an aesthetic space divider that makes you curious what's behind. |

Warning!
If Sticks are used outside, in a windy area or a public space, we recommend to fix the base to the ground. The most simple solution is taking one or two rods out of the base and putting a bolt through, thus fixing the base to the floor. In very windy environments we recommend to use the optional extra weight.

Functional flexibility in a design object
Sticks allow you to be creative in dividing and combining. In one step you can make your room look different, without losing the feeling of the complete space.
Sticks is available in four heights: 180 cm, 210 cm, 150 cm and 120 cm which is ideal to use in restaurants or other sitting environments. The added value of the 120 cm rods is that you can keep eye contact with the other spaces divided by the Sticks.

Hints and tricks
To make Sticks more transparant, do not fill the base completely with rods. The less rods you use, the more transparancy you gain. For example: you can buy four bases and combine it with three units of rods. So more transparancy for a lower price.
Colorful combinations can create a very happy effect. You can also combine different colors in one base, and change slowly from one color to the other. Use your imagination!
